Voter Suppression Is Alive And It's Keeping Us Poor!

A panel discussion filmed live at First Baptist Church in Selma, Alabama on March 2, 2018, featuring Rev. Dr. William J. Barber, II and Rev. Dr. Liz Theoharis, co-chairs of the Poor People's Campaign: A National Call for Moral Revival, moderated by veteran civil rights activist, Roz Pelles, and with panelists Rev. Mark Thompson, attorney Shailly Gupta Barnes, Dr. Timothy Tyson, Dr. David Kim, attorney Faya Rose Toure and civil rights legend Rev. Jesse Jackson.

Fifty-three years after the voting rights march across the Edmund Pettus Bridge, Congress has refused to restore the Voting Rights Act that blood was shed for, and today, voter suppression is still real and rampant across this country. The battle is in our hands.

Recorded live by Fusion Films.
