Rev. Dr. Liz Theoharis, co-chair of the Poor People's Campaign: A National Call for Moral Revival, delivers an emotional sermon at the US-Mexico border during a nonviolent direct action organized by the Poor People's Campaign and American Friends Service Committee. On December 10, 2018, Rev. Theoharis and hundreds of activists, organizers, and other clergy members gathered at the border wall in San Diego, California, to proclaim that "Love Knows No Borders," and that migration and seeking asylum are fundamental human rights. Several uniformed clergy members were arrested while demanding an end to the militarization of the border, and that those seeking safety after traveling thousands of miles in a "migrant caravan" be allowed into the U.S.
