Democrats Just Won Alaska's Special Congressional Election

After the passing of their former Congressman Don Young, who held the seat for fifty years, an Alaskan Native, Mary Peltola, will take his seat until the upcoming election in November. With Alaska being a red state it was a surprise to many that Peltola took the win over the Republican candidate, Sarah Palin. Even though this win is temporary, we will see what the final result is in November.
