Donald Trump has turned on his daughter Ivanka, saying she “checked out” after the 2020 election and that her opinion about voter fraud isn’t valid. Ivanka testified on video before the January 6th committee, and part of her testimony was aired on day one of the hearings on Thursday. She said on tape that when Bill Barr said Trump’s claims were bogus, “it affected my perspective. I respect Attorney General Barr, so I accepted what he was saying.” Trump took to Truth Social to complain about this, posting, “Ivanka Trump was not involved in looking at, or studying, Election results. She had long since checked out and was, in my opinion, only trying to be respectful to Bill Barr and his position as Attorney General (he sucked!).” Ivanka can now be added to the exhaustively long list of people whom Trump has turned on over the years.
