Donald Trump’s new social media venture “Truth Social” is not off to a strong start. Rather than seeing an abrupt increase in signups since the launch date, there’s been a 93% collapse in new users on the platform. The total installations for the app are sitting at 1.2 million, which is super underwhelming for something that was supposed to be a Twitter killer and put together by a former president. The site was plagued with tech issues from its launch, with many people wanting to make accounts resorting to the waitlist. Now that a few weeks have passed, few people care enough to go back to it. Trump’s kids are doing their best to resurrect the app, but that’s not working. Truth Social may simultaneously end up being the latest failed business venture by Donald Trump and the latest failed conservative alternative social media network.
