Despite Donald Trump losing the 2020 election, the outgoing president is still holding campaign rallies. Trump flew down to Valdosta, Georgia for an event ostensibly for the two Republican Senators on the ballot for the January 5th runoff elections. However, Trump barely spoke about the incumbent Republicans on the ballot, Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue. Trump instead spent the vast majority of the time talking about himself and barely gave Loeffler and Perdue any time to speak. Many of the Trump supporters in attendance were upset with Loeffler and Perdue for not fighting hard enough for Trump since he lost reelection.
During the rally, Trump simultaneously argued that the presidential election in Georgia was rigged against him, while also making the case that everyone needs to go out and vote for Loeffler and Perdue. At several points during the speech, Trump came close to accidentally conceding, before back-peddling and insisting he won. True to form, Trump also spent much of the time rambling about random topics like what kinds of vegetables he likes and how the left is waging a war on Christmas. He also told the crowd to vote on June 5th, which is five months after the actual election day, January 5th.
