Herschel Walker, the former NFL football player, turned right-wing politician, leads Raphael Warnock in Georgia's 2022 US Senate race. According to a poll from Emerson College and The Hill, Walker receives 49% of the vote to Warnock’s 45%. Six percent of respondents are undecided. Walker has so far had some embarrassing moments on the campaign trail. He referred to critical race theory as “CTR” instead of “CRT.” Walker also openly wondered why apes still exist on the planet if evolutionary theory shows that humans came from apes. Unfortunately, Republicans aren’t dissuaded by these humiliations or don’t see them as humiliations, so Herschel Walker may be set up to become the next Senator from Georgia.
