Pompeo Asserts There Will Be "Smooth Transition to Second Trump Administration"

During a press conference on Tuesday, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo was asked if the Trump administration was working to ensure a smooth presidential transition.

"There will be a smooth transition to a second Trump administration," said Pompeo.

His response was in line with Trump's refusal to accept defeat. President Trump has repeatedly made unproven allegations of voter fraud, filed lawsuits in several key states and intends to demand recounts.

President-elect Joe Biden laughed off Pompeo's declaration.
"I just think it’s an embarrassment, quite frankly ... At the end of the day, you know, it’s all going to come to fruition on Jan. 20."
