A judge has ordered Republican Senator Lindsey Graham to testify in the Georgia probe into Donald Trump’s alleged election meddling in the 2020 race. Last month, Graham was subpoenaed, and the senator and his lawyers clarified that they didn’t want to cooperate. Investigators want to hear about Graham’s calls to Georgia election officials, including Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, who inquired about the process for decertifying results and handing the election to Trump. Lindsey and his lawyers argue that he was simply operating as part of his senatorial duties by making these outreaches; however, the judge presiding over the matter didn’t buy that argument. Graham is a US Senator from South Carolina, so he has no standing to inquire about the election process in a different state.
