How to Combat Morality Police Globally

Writing for YES! Magazine, Ari Hornavar said in a recent story, “As a girl who grew up in Iran during the rise of the Islamist regime, I witnessed firsthand the impact of the morality police on our daily lives,” But, she says, “recently I’ve observed that ‘morality police’ are not limited to Iran’s paramilitary enforcers. They’re a global force, and they’re spreading.”

Here in the U.S., our own morality police have legislated bans against abortion and gender-affirming care, the teaching of history, and even the reading of books deemed objectionable.
