All year, Fox News has been placating the vaccine-skeptical members of its audience, especially during their nighttime programs. They’ve been especially upset over recent vaccine mandates, like the one handed down from the Biden administration requiring federal workers and contractors to get vaccinated. But it turns out that Fox itself has some of the strictest vaccine mandates out there. Fox Corp. HR chief Kevin Lord sent out a memo this week saying that, “90% of our full-time employees reported that they are fully vaccinated.” He went on to say that “soon we will introduce another important health and safety measure for access to our facilities — daily COVID testing for the small group of employees who are not vaccinated or have not provided their vaccination status.” The Biden mandate for private companies with more than 100 employees when workers aren’t vaccinated is to have them undergo weekly testing. Fox News is saying their unvaccinated staff must get tested daily. This means that for all the bluster, skepticism, and COVID denial, Fox’s vaccine mandate is much stricter than that of the government that its hosts regularly criticize.
