Fox News host Neil Cavuto returned to the airwaves last week after a second battle with COVID-19. Cavuto has been open about having a number of health complications including having multiple sclerosis and being a cancer survivor. This made him particularly susceptible to catching a dangerous case of the virus. The Fox host called out those in his audience who wanted him dead, saying they didn’t get what they wished for.
He also addressed the anti-vax crowd, saying, “I am among the vulnerable 3% of the population that cannot sustain the full benefits of a vaccine. In other words, it simply doesn’t last. But let me be clear, doctors say had I not been vaccinated at all, I wouldn’t be here. It provided some defense but that is still better than no defense.” It’s curious that Cavuto still chooses to report the news to an audience of many people who don’t like him, but ultimately it’s better for him than whoever Fox would replace him with.
