Fox News reporter Peter Doocy recently confronted President Biden about the controversy over his being in possession of classified documents. Biden said that he takes classified documents and sensitive material seriously and that he and his lawyers are cooperating fully with the Justice Department's review. His lawyers reviewed other places where documents from his time as vice president were stored and their review has now been finished. But the president’s explanation was not good enough for Doocy. Peter blurted out, “classified materials next to your Corvette? What were you thinking?” The president kept his cool and followed up, “by the way, my Corvette’s in a locked garage. Okay? So it's not like it’s sitting out on the street.” The attempt to make any sort of scandal out of this or compare this to Donald Trump’s mishandling of classified documents makes no sense and ought to be confronted at every turn.
