Nearly 2 years after massive nationwide uprisings for racial justice rocked the United States, Black leaders and activists remain frustrated with the slow pace of change–and with good reason. Beyond vague gestures toward Diversity-Equity-Inclusion policies and calls for “racial healing,” little appears to have changed. Now, a new book called The Black Agenda: Bold Solutions for a Broken System, brings together a collection of demands to center Black leadership and Black-led solutions across the spectrum of social problems in the nation today.

Rising Up with Sonali is a radio and television show that brings progressive news coverage rooted in gender and racial justice to a wide audience. Rising Up With Sonali was built on the foundation of Sonali Kolhatkar's earlier show, Uprising, which became the longest-running drive-time radio show on KPFK in Los Angeles hosted by a woman. RUS airs on Free Speech TV every weekday.
