Position Summary: The Multimedia Content Producer, as a member of the Programming team, is responsible for creating, distributing, and publishing daily engaging digital content to all of FSTV’s digital and broadcast platforms. This full-time hybrid schedule opportunity is for immediate hire and will operate from the organization’s headquarters in sunny, vibrant Denver, Colorado. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in executing promotional plans (editing and publishing short video clips from various daily/weekly hosts, films, special events, etc.) that maximize audience engagement and viewer experience on all platforms (including FSTV website, youtube, OTT/streaming apps, broadcast, and social media).
  • Producing high-quality, entertaining, and engaging, original digital content packages (images, videos, etc.) for our website, social media, YouTube channel, and OTT/streaming apps to grow an audience. Includes script writing and utilizing brand management best practices to produce effective graphics and video content
  • Assisting the Program Director and other team members in curating partner content and editing FSTV original content for digital and broadcast distribution, including but not limited to creating trailers/promos, clips, and other supplemental content as needed.
  • Reviewing submitted media files for quality control
  • Writing support copy, such as content descriptions, crawls, metadata descriptions, newsletter copy, social media copy, etc.
  • Working with the content team to develop and execute digital and broadcast program launch strategies.
  • Assisting in maintaining relationships with content contributors, distributors, and filmmakers in conjunction with the Program Director and other team members.
  • Maintaining a database of contacts, programs, and rights while representing FSTV with integrity, respect, and the highest standards in developing content partner relationships

Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience:  
  • Associate’s degree in a related field OR an equivalent combination of 4 years education and/or experience in a professional creative services & video production environment
  • Skilled in video capturing techniques, post-production & graphic design principles
  • Must have intermediate skills with video editing and graphic design–Adobe Creative Cloud preferred
  • Multimedia Journalism (MMJ) experience with basic understanding of news writing, journalistic ethics and story structure 
  • Passion and curiosity for brand storytelling and project coordination skills
  • Familiarity of social justice organizations, movements and progressive content creators
  • An understanding and familiarity of the intersectionality of social, racial, economic, and environmental justice issues
  • Ability to learn on the job, spot issues, think quickly, and diplomatically deal with complex issues with sound judgment
  • Self accountability, some external direction may be needed
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and problem-solving skills
  • Outstanding analytical skills and ability to adhere to schedules and deadlines
  • Comfortable working in a highly collaborative, consensus-oriented environment
  • Strong work ethic, demonstrating personal initiative, responsibility, and a commitment to results

Travel Requirements: Minimal travel may be required FLSA Status: Fulltime, Non-Exempt Reports To: Program Director Department: Programming Supervisory Responsibilities: None Location: Denver, CO (currently hybrid) Travel: Occasional travel is required Compensation: $50,000-$58,000 annually, commensurate with experience Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, life, short/long-term disability insurance.
