Wind and solar actually outperformed the forecast” According to Beto O'Rourke

Republicans continue to lie about the cause of the blackouts in Texas that left at least 58 dead. The GOP is baselessly blaming renewable resources for leaving millions without power amidst freezing temperatures. But Beto O'Rourke tells Jim Hightower that the fossil fuel industry is responsible and says that green energy sources were the ones still standing after the winter storms.

"Wind and solar actually outperformed the forecast for what they were supposed to do over the course of the storm, so they did better than expected," says O'Rourke. "Where you really had systemic failures were gas, coal, and even nuclear, both in the actual power generation and in the instruments."
