BACKGROUND: On December 20, 2019 the US military just established a sixth branch, signed into law by President Donald Trump as part of the National Defense Authorization Act. Space Force, which started out as an idea that Trump promoted in the early days of his Presidency, came into being with little to no opposition from both major parties and is the start of US militarization of space.
Proponents of Space Force say the US has to be militarily supreme in space in order to counteract China and Russia. But at what cost?
