With the United States becoming the hardest-hit nation from Covid-19, concern for how the rest of the world copes with the deadly pandemic is eclipsed. Sadly the spread of a dangerous disease has not undercut war and militarism and in fact the preexisting regional tensions and incidents of state violence have left myriad populations far more vulnerable to Covid-19 than they would have been.
