Trumpists fall for obvious Bernie Sanders smears perpetuated by right-wing celebrities James Woods and Charlie Kirk regarding Bernie's plans for taxes and Medicare-for-All. In particular, a popular meme circulating showing, incorrectly, that Bernie's plan to increase minimum wage would be offset by his tax plan. The meme falsely claims that Bernie would impose a 52% tax rate for anyone making over $29,000 a year. That number has come from a Sanders proposal to implement a 52% marginal tax rate for income exceeding $10 million.
