Donald Trump’s approval rating has so far not been affected by the multiple investigations being waged against him. A recent New York Times / Siena College poll found that 44% of voters view Trump favorably and 53% view him unfavorably. The poll was taken after the FBI raid of Trump’s Florida home but before New York Attorney General Letitia James referred the financial crimes case to federal prosecutors. The level of support has been unmoved from July when the same poll was conducted and the January 6th committee hearings were in focus. This is evidence that even if Trump is charged, convicted, and put behind bars, his approval rating won’t get too much lower because the cult members who worship this guy think he can do no wrong.
