Donald Trump claimed that his passports were seized by the FBI during its raid of his Mar-a-Lago home last week. The former president went on Truth Social and said, “Wow! In the raid by the FBI of Mar-a-Lago, they stole my three Passports (one expired), along with everything else. This is an assault on a political opponent at a level never seen before in our Country. Third World!” Whether the seizure of Trump’s passports actually happened is still being verified, as the FBI made a statement saying it was at the moment not in possession of Trump’s passports, but that’s different from saying the agency never had them. An email has also come out from someone in law enforcement saying the passports were being returned to Trump at 2 pm ET yesterday.
