Radical right-wing media outlet OAN is attempting to resurface from the bottom of the trash heap and they are doing so with a so-called “exclusive interview” with Donald Trump. The interview was, as always on OANN, pure propaganda — the likes of which one normally finds in North Korea. Interviewer Chanel Rion opened up the exchange by asking about “what many Americans consider an illigimtate Biden White House.” This set up Trump perfectly to ramble on about “massive fraud” in a “third-world election” that he claims was rigged in Joe Biden’s favor. He insisted that Republican lawmakers have to do something to change the election systems and make their voters feel like their votes count again. Of course, the distrust some Republican voters have in the process now is due to Trump and his lies, not about the election itself.

Later on in the interview, Trump talked about his new blog and how it’s just step one of a “blockbuster” new social media website in the works. The problem now, as Trump explains it, is that none of the existing companies are ready to take on the massive influx of followers that he would bring to their sites. Perhaps Trump will launch his new social media site in conjunction with that health care plan he promised last year but never put out. Finally, Rion asked the former president about foreign policy. When presented a question about China, Trump shifted to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. He blamed the recent flare up on Joe Biden and insisted that nothing of the sort would have happened under his watch. Every step of the way, Chanel Rion was there to coach Trump during the interview and back up whatever he was saying. It’s remarkable to see the depths that Trump and One America News Network have fallen to in these early months of the Biden administration.
