Misinformation about the virus abounds on the internet, in large part stemming from a mistrust of government that President Donald Trump and his supporters thrive on.

Now, a science journalist who has written about pandemics even before this year, says we need a paradigm shift on how we think about contagious diseases if we are to survive.
