The Fight for Economic Justice in Tech
The United States technology industry is considered the driving force of the national and even global economy. Tech workers, however, suffer from many of the same problems seen in other parts of the economy: stratification along racial and gender lines, low pay and long hours, and job insecurity. A new book called What We Build With Power, offers a manifesto on worker-led organizing, particularly in communities of color.
Rising Up with Sonali is a radio and television show that brings progressive news coverage rooted in gender and racial justice to a wide audience. Rising Up With Sonali was built on the foundation of Sonali Kolhatkar's earlier show, Uprising, which became the longest-running drive-time radio show on KPFK in Los Angeles hosted by a woman.
