How Portland Police Brutalized Protesters

Sonali Kolhatkar speaks with Arun Gupta about the police brutality happening in Portland, Oregon.

The Justice Department has formally recommended that the federal government withhold funds from the cities of New York, Portland, and Seattle—all Democratic-run cities, and localities that Attorney General William Barr referred to as, “permitting anarchy, violence, and destruction.” Mr. Barr said, “We cannot allow federal tax dollars to be wasted when the safety of the citizenry hangs in the balance.”

Meanwhile, it is violence from Portland police and some of their allied armed vigilante groups that have been documented as wielding brutal violence.

If you are a member of the press you can join a Portland press conference about police violence on protesters this Wednesday, September 23rd at 4 pm PST by emailing arun dot indypendent at gmail dot com.
