Marjorie Taylor Greene went on Alex Jones’s show yesterday and told so many lies within a one-minute span that some are likening it to a psychotic break. MTG criticized mask-wearing and the COVID vaccines, falsely claiming that both of them don’t work. She said that “people who are vaccinated are still getting COVID,” which is of course true, but immunized people are far less likely to get a severe or deadly case of the virus.
Marjorie Taylor Greene then claimed that it was wrong for doctors to deny their patients ivermectin, apparently believing it to be a miracle drug. As if the rant couldn’t get any crazier, she brought up the VAERS system which is a darling of the American right but is just a bunch of anecdotal and unsubstantiated reports of what supposedly happened to people after taking the vaccine. Jones happily nodded along to what MTG was saying, and surely the audience enjoyed it as well.
