Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene was caught on video kicking an 18-year-old gun safety activist. Greene was walking behind a woman named Marianna Pecora and apparently got frustrated that someone was in her way, so she stepped on the back of Pecora’s foot. A few seconds later, it happened again. MTG’s aide then stepped in and said, “you’re blocking the congresswoman,” making it seem like Greene had no choice but to repeatedly kick the young woman. This looks like an assault in broad daylight and there are two videos of the incident. Perhaps Pecora will choose to press charges and maybe the police will take her up on them. But in the meantime, the encounter goes to show that members of Congress are often able to get away with things that the average American cannot.
