It’s becoming increasingly clear that failed Arizona gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake is going to run for a US Senate seat. Although some people have speculated that she may be running to be Trump's vice-presidential running mate, she seems to have her eyes set on the Senate. Lake believes that she would win the Senate race in Arizona, beating both the Independent Kyrsten Sinema and the Democrat Ruben Gallego. Since losing her bid for governor last year to Katie Hobbs, Lake has spent months claiming widespread voter fraud, which was the reason for her defeat. She’s going to have to convince her supporters that this election will be worth voting in, despite many of them now believing there’s no point since the Democrats will simply rig it against her. One thing working in her favor is the possibility that Sinema and Gallego will split the independent and Democratic vote, giving Lake a clear lane to win a plurality by just turning out her right-wing base.
