Donald Trump's former National Security Adviser John Bolton says he is willing to testify in the Senate impeachment trial of Donald Trump.
What is the likelihood of a Republican majority Senate calling on Bolton to testify? Although it would require a super-majority to remove Trump from office, it would only require a simple majority to subpoena Bolton. With 45 Democrats and two Independents who caucus with Democrats, perhaps only 3 Republicans would be needed in order to subpoena Bolton.
Republican Senator Marco Rubio has already come up with his reason to NOT subpoena Bolton. "We should be constrained by the information that those articles are based on," Rubio told CNN reporter Manu Raju.
Although John Bolton could provide potentially damning evidence as it relates to Trump's impeachment, David Pakman offers a word of caution. "Bolton will do what is best for John Bolton, and that might mean showing up and obfuscating," says Pakman.
The David Pakman Show is a news and political talk program, known for its controversial interviews with political and religious extremists, liberal and conservative politicians, and other guests.
