Joe Biden Vows Russia Will Never Take Ukraine

President Biden spoke to the nation earlier this week about the conflict between Russia and Ukraine. Biden announced that new sanctions will be placed against Russia and the US will no longer allow the importation of Russian oil and gas. Biden said this move will “mean tyrants like Putin won’t be able to use fossil fuels as weapons against other nations.

And it will make America a world leader manufacturing and exporting clean energy technology of the future to countries all around the world.” In a sense predicting the outcome of the war, Biden went on to say, “this much is already clear: Ukraine will never be a victory for Putin.” Without NATO and American troops going to fight in the conflict, it’s impossible to guarantee that Russia won’t win the war, but perhaps the president meant the spirit of the Ukrainian people will live on regardless of what happens.
