He is a senior fellow at FairVote, the former editor of Salon, and lives in Massachusetts. His books include Ratf**ked: The True Story Behind The Secret Plan To Steal America’s Democracy, and Unrigged: How Americans Are Battling Back to Save Democracy. He just published a piece in the New Republic called Inside the Republican Plot for Permanent Minority Rule.
