An act of white terrorism fueled by racism has taken the lives of 10 people in Buffalo’s Black community. The massacre was a result of white supremacist ideology that has been given a mainstream platform by some members of the GOP and their right-wing media echo chamber. 

According to the shooter's manifesto, the "great replacement" theory alleges Democrats and the Jewish community are replacing white voters with people of color and immigrants. This is not a mental health issue, rather a radicalization of evil ideology.

We denounce this violence and the hate that fuels it. It will take people power to hold our elected officials accountable if they promote these racist ideas, and courage to call out family members and friends who share these ideas online. We shall not be silent.
