George W. Bush had an epic Freudian slip while discussing Russia’s invasion of Ukraine during a speech at his presidential center in Dallas, Texas. The 43rd president said, “the result is an absence of checks and balances in Russia and the decision of one man to launch a holy unjustified and brutal invasion of Iraq — I mean of Ukraine.” Bush then laughed it off and said, “Iraq . . . I’m 75.” Perhaps this was a complete mishap for Bush or maybe there was something in his conscience that knows his own invasion of Iraq in 2003 was “unjustified and brutal.” The American invasion of Iraq was based on false premises, led to hundreds of thousands if not over a million deaths, and trillions of taxpayer dollars wasted. Bush should absolutely feel remorseful over this war he started and maybe this Freudian slip indicates he finally does.
