Fox News is in a really strange place because while they still want to remain a tiny bit tethered to reality, they also don’t want to anger their viewers who love Trump. So they have come up with the solution of accepting Joe Biden as the President-Elect during the daytime, while claiming that the election was rigged and that Trump actually won during the nighttime hours. Tucker Carlson, Sean Hannity, and Laura Ingraham are doing their best to undermine the electoral process and make Republicans never trust the outcome of an election ever again, unless they win it.
Hannity is going all the way down to the bottom of the ocean on this Trump ship. At one point during his episode yesterday, Hannity listed a bunch of buzzwords about “fake polls” and “FISA warrants” to give the impression that there was a vast conspiracy. He had White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany on the show to flip through the hundreds of pieces of paper she had and RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel was there to spread disinformation of her own. It’s easy to laugh off this nonsense, but an unbelievable number of right-wingers actually are buying into this.
