Nearly 100 people have died from a record-breaking heat wave in the northwestern state of Oregon. Further north, the situation was even worse as the Canadian town of Lytton in British Colombia was wiped off the map as it literally burned to the ground from wildfires sparked by lightning strikes and fueled by temperatures reaching 121 degrees Fahrenheit.
