Kimberly Guilfoyle, the now-fiancée of Donald Trump Jr., was paid $60,000 for a two-and-a-half minute speech at the Ellipse on January 6, 2021. The money came from Trump supporters through the “Official Election Defense Fund” and it was supposed to go towards efforts to overturn the 2020 election in Trump’s favor. Instead, it was used to funnel campaign money to Trump’s family members and allies. The January 6th committee which revealed this, won’t say whether this payment was criminal as its simply a legislative committee. But perhaps this should be a matter that’s turned over to the Justice Department for a proper investigation.
