Democrats announce a war powers vote to try to control Donald Trump's belligerence on Iran.
After the unauthorized assassination of Iranian Gen. Qasem Soleimani, and escalating tensions between the two countries, Nancy Pelosi says the House will "vote on a War Powers Resolution to limit" President Trump's "military actions regarding Iran."
In a letter to House Democrats, Pelosi said the assassination "endangered our service members, diplomats and others by risking a serious escalation of tensions with Iran."
Tim Kaine is introducing a similar bill in the Senate.
Article I, Section 8, Clause 11 of the U.S. Constitution says that Congress has power to declare war. Will any Republicans vote to uphold checks and balances? David Pakman suspects not.
