Fox News sent reporter Griff Jenkins to Washington DC to speak to the migrants who were sent there by Ron DeSantis in one of his latest political stunts. Jenkins tried to speak Spanish, but between his poor language skills and horrible accent, he failed to communicate at all with the migrants getting off the bus. He asked one woman, “de dónde eres?” meaning, “where are you from?” He then said in horrifyingly bad Spanish, “Vice President Harris says the border is closed.” Then he asked the woman, “the border is closed or open?” Presumably unsure of what Jenkins was getting at, the woman responded “abierto” meaning it’s open. Griff then spoke to another guy he couldn’t understand at all and so he just wished him good luck and sent him along. Fox News would probably be better served to get a reporter who actually speaks Spanish rather than sending this guy every time there’s an immigration issue to cover.
