Eighteen-year-old Kyle Rittenhouse stood trial for his role last August in the shooting deaths of two men, Joseph Rosenbaum and Anthony Huber, and for injuring a third man named Gaige Grosskreutz in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Rittenhouse had joined counter protesters at a Black Lives Matter action against the police shooting of a Black man named Jacob Blake who was left paralyzed. As of this recording jury deliberations have begun.
Meanwhile, the suspected White killers of a Black man named Ahmaud Arbery in Georgia are on trial. Three men, Travis McMichael, his father Gregory McMichael and William "Roddie" Bryan Jr. are facing murder charges for an incident that left Arbery dead and shocked the nation last April. The judge in the case has just rejected the defendants’ request for a mistrial.
