The GOP was called out on plans to destroy Social Security during testimony for the Social Security Expansion act. The Social Security Expansion Act was presented last week, along with testimony by Alex Lawson. Lawson presented to a hearings committee, including Mitt Romney and others. Romney became annoyed with the testimony, which showed that there is a plan to reduce social security benefits and that those decisions are being taken behind closed doors. Hiding the discussions is so Americans don’t realize what is going on, because if they did, there would a lot of protests about the reduction of benefits. Social Security Expansion Act is designed to increase benefits by $200 a month for everyone – but the Republicans, led by Rick Scott, want to bury it and REDUCE benefits by 21% AND to end it completely in five years.
