Kentucky's Senator Rand Paul proposes each senator give their personal funds to the aid of Ukraine to support his reasoning behind not wanting to keep the $40 billion Ukraine Aid bill that was introduced. This however does not prove to be sound reasoning seeing as helping when needed is one of the reasons we as a country have Government.
