Sonali Kolhatkar speaks with Serj Tankian about the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict.
More than a thousand people have been killed in the latest chapter of a long-simmering conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan over a sliver of land between the two nations known as Nagorno-Karabakh. After decades of semi-autonomous Armenian rule the conflict in which Turkey and Russia are playing a serious role, threatens to destabilize the entire region. My next guest views the conflict as part of Turkey’s increasing imperial ambitions.
Read the article that Serj Tankian and Maria Armoudian wrote for Open Democracy called ‘Nagorno Karabakh and Turkey’s imperial ambitions,’ HERE.
