Nikki Kuhnhausen was strangled after a Vancouver man found out she was transgender. The bail for the murderer was set for only $750,000.

Yahira Nesby, a 33-year-old Black transgender woman was shot and killed in Brooklyn, New York by her boyfriend.

Police found Julie Berman, a transgender woman and prominent transgender activist, murdered on December 22.

Dustin Parker, a 25-year-old trans man was fatally shot while working as a cab driver in small-town McAlester, Oklahoma on New Years Day.
