A Bexar county Sheriff, Javier Salazar, is opening a criminal investigation surrounding the 48 migrants that were transported to Martha's Vineyard from Texas. So far all that is known is a migrant was paid a fee to recruit other migrants from a migrant resource center in San Antonio under false pretenses. They were falsely promised jobs, homes, and more before being stranded.
