We Stand In Solidarity, We Stand For Justice, We Stand For Racial Equality!

To be silent is to be complicit.
#Blacklivesmatter.

We have a platform, and we have a duty to our Black viewers, employees, creators, talent, and donors to speak up.

Friends,

We at Free Speech TV mourn George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery and
so many others who lives have been cut short by the institutional racism deeply
embedded in this country’s history and culture.

We stand in solidarity today with those who cries of “no justice, no peace” echo
through our cities.

The world watches as America—unmoored from moral leadership at the White
House—erupts into mass protests and violence unlike any seen since the 1960’s.
In 1968, the Kerner Commission concluded: “Our nation is moving toward two
societies, one black, one white–separate and unequal.”

Over the past 52 years, we as a nation have failed to heed its call for the healing
that can only come from justice. Today, we witness the stark results.
Brutality by police and vigilantes is matched by equally lethal policy violence.
Poverty, lack of healthcare, inequities in education, militarism, and environmental
degradation also kill. Their victims are disproportionately loved ones in our
communities of color.

As Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. famously observed, “A riot is the language of
the unheard.” We at Free Speech TV remain committed to hearing the cries of
the suffering and to amplifying their pleas and solutions.
Say their names. Demand accountability. Fight for justice as if your life depended
on it—because someday it might.

Stay safe. We love you.
