Manhattan Neighborhood Network (MNN) and Free Speech TV (FSTV) premiered the fourth episode in the monthly series, Elections 2018 — The Progressive Path Forward: Voting Rights Under Attack on May 10, 2018 at 8:00 pm ET on both MNN-FSTV (Spectrum channel 1301 and FiOS channel 39 for Manhattan viewers or streaming online worldwide at mnn.org) and Free Speech TV (DISH 9415, DIRECTV 348, and streaming on Roku, Apple TV, and freespeech.org).

“Voter suppression and gerrymandering will unfairly determine the outcome of too many critical races this election season,” said FSTV Executive Director, Ron Williams.  “We must shine the light on these continuing injustices. Democracy is meaningless unless everyone’s right to vote is protected.”

In this episode, three legal experts discuss voting rights and equality, and many of the hot-button issues in the news now including the “extreme gerrymandering” cases now before the U.S. Supreme Court; the Pennsylvania gerrymandering case that led the state Supreme Court to throw out the partisan districts drawn up by Republican state legislature; and voter ID laws such as the one now being tested in Kansas.
