Tucker Carlson is premiering a new Fox Nation series on the Kyle Rittenhouse trial called The Trial of Kyle. It appears to be a bizarre reality show that portrays Rittenhouse as a hero for killing two people in August of last year. The wackiest portion of the series promo is Carlson’s analogy to Bolshevik-style revolution and anarcho-tyranny in reference to Rittenhouse’s actions.
Carlson paints a picture of Rittenhouse as a good citizen who defended Kenosha from hordes of rioters and he criticizes the media’s attacks on Rittenhouse, whom he believes was merely carrying out his civic duty. At the end of the series promo, Rittenhouse is seen wearing a suit on a beach with the narration that he is now free but will “never have the luxury of living a normal life.”
The final message to the audience was, “the next time, it could be you,” suggesting that anyone could find themselves in this situation and that Kyle’s actions in the lead up to the shootings had no effect on what took place that day. This will undoubtedly serve as effective propaganda to the Fox audience and further distort what took place that night in Kenosha.
