After being arrested, former President Donald Trump was driven directly to the LaGuardia Airport and flew home to Mar-a-Lago to hold a speaking event. During the speech, Trump's brain seemed to disintegrate, as he attacked Judge Juan Merchan and Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg while running through his generic list of grievances. Trump went after Judge Merchan’s family, which is a cause for concern because Trump supporters are known to become violent. Trump also attacked D.A. Bragg as a political actor. Then, the former president moved on to speaking about other investigations into him, suggesting that the search warrant served at Mar-a-Lago was illegal because any documents he took from the White House while he was president are automatically declassified. In fact, Trump spent much of the speech focusing on other crimes he may have committed rather than the crime for which he was arrested that day. This suggests that while he’s concerned about this New York case, Trump truly fears charges coming from Georiga and Washington D.C. now that the Rubicon has been crossed.
