Trump Tells Crowd He'll Seek Third Term

Trump spoke in front of a small group of supporters in Wisconsin. He had very odd energy throughout and delivered the speech in a way that made it clear he hadn’t read it before. Trump suggested he may want to seek a third term in 2024, because Democrats impeached him and Obama “spied on his campaign.” This is the latest example of Trump wanting to do something completely unconstitutional for his own authoritarian and selfish ends. Trump also talked about how he has a chance at winning New York and California in November, which is absolutely absurd. Trump is likely to lose those states by at least twenty percentage points.

The event got so bad that even Fox News had to cut away. Trump, in fact, bashed Fox during the appearance because he doesn’t like how their polling apparatus always shows him losing. Trump finished off with his usual hyperbole, talking about how Joe Biden will turn Chicago into Syria and how the United States is set up to have an amazing year in 2021 economically if “stupid people” don’t get elected. Trump may be right about that last one, although not in the way he intended.
