Donald Trump has pardoned former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich. It appears that he got the idea to pardon Rod Blagojevich after seeing his wife, Patti Blagojevich, defending Donald Trump on television.

Trump claimed to not know Rod very well, despite him having appeared on his former reality show, The Apprentice. Trump did admit to have seen his wife, Patti, on t.v., though. On several television appearances, she compared Rod Blagojevich's being charged with a crime to the investigations into Trump.
